If you are like me, you never know what day Easter will be on each year. After doing some research, I think it’s safe to say, I still will never know what day it falls on (without a calendar at hand). I did, however, find an almost comprehensive explanation on the TLC website which states:
According to the English book of Common Prayer, “Easter Day is the first Sunday after the full moon which happens upon, or next after the 21st day of March; and if the full moon happens upon a Sunday, Easter Day is the Sunday after.”
So, now that you know when, don’t ever forget why!
Romans 6:8-11
King James Version (KJV)
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
